Kerry McLaren

My name is Kerry McLaren and I spend my time writing poetry, gaming and keeping active. Although not new to writing I am new to sharing my work. I am building a portfolio of poems based on my personal experiences with dyslexia. Pick-a-mix explores how the neurological pathways are formed in the womb to create an individual person with a hint of neurodiversity.

Laura Jane Round

My name is Laura Jane Round (she/her) and I'm a bisexual writer and performance poet from the post-industrial Black Country. It is bleak here but it is my bleak and I like it.

This short poetry film was first made for the Working Class Creatives Database x Black Pineapple Arts 'This Is Not A Show' art exhibition in 2021. The poem itself ended up in my debut poetry pamphlet, 'The Coveted' (Cerasus Poetry). I explore my own trauma and the way the body holds onto trauma within the pages of the book.

Lorna Smart

My name is Lorna Smart and I live in Norfolk, UK. I have been writing poetry and short stories since I was 9 years old. In more recent years, I have branched out into blogging, article writing and freelancing. I find writing very enjoyable, a great way of expressing myself and even therapeutic at times. I've been very fortunate to have some of my poetry and articles published both online and in print. I also enjoy drawing, card making and cross stitch.

Art

Reni Adebayo

wearing my big coat is someone who dreams of calling themselves a "graphic designer", someone who thinks calling themselves a "graphic designer" would be hilarious, someone who looks at the label "graphic designer" and thinks: well, why the fuck not. thinking fast and creating at the speed of a snail on the back of a tortoise, they are turning their silly thoughts into silly posters for all to enjoy.

edlk

Born and raised in New Jersey, schooled somewhat internationally, and resident in New England, edlk, whose car masquerades as a branch library, has published an assortment of poems in little literary journals, some now defunct, which she hopes was not her fault.

Poety

Emily Mather

My name is Emily and I'm a queer writer from Manchester. After lockdown inspired the mother of all writer's block, my pen is finally finding its way to paper again. I'm still early in my creative journey, but I'm interested in writing poetry that hurts and then heals the self, that is awkwardly, off-puttingly human.
