Our first ever anthology 'Between Queer Teeth' is opening for submissions on the 1st May!
This anthology is open to written submissions (fiction, non-fiction, poetry, hybrid) from queer and trans writers from across the world.
Offer us the words between your teeth, the stories (true and imagined) that have been living rent free on your tongue, the poems that are just visible when you part your lips, open your mouth wide. We are open to any form of writing, from fiction to creative non-fiction to poetry and hybrid forms. Please see our submissions guidelines below for details of word limits.
We look forward to spending time with your work.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Deadline: Midnight, Thursday 12th June
GENERAL SUBMISSIONS GUIDELINES
Between Queer Teeth accepts written submissions by queer and trans writers. Please only submit if you identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
We DO accept simultaneous submissions (although please let us know immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere). We DON'T accept previously published work (including work published on social media or blogs). We will let artists know if they have been accepted by the end of July. We may work editorially with you.
The best way to find out about the sort of work we love to publish is to buy yourself a copy of one of our recent publications!
We run t'ART on a voluntary basis and don't currently have the funds to pay contributors but all contributors will receive a physical copy of the anthology.
PROSE SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
We accept prose submissions of up to 3000 words, across fiction and creative non-fiction, including prose poems and hybrid works. Please do not submit more than one piece to each volume. Please ensure the file you upload is labelled with the title of your piece and your name in the file name.
POETRY SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
You can submit up to three poems. The anthology will be a book-sized publication so you should consider this if your poem involves complex formatting. If you are submitting multiple poems please upload them in a single document and ensure the file is labelled with your name in the file name.
Please send in your submissions via a submissions form and NOT by email. If you have access requirements that make the form inaccessible, please submit via our email: tartpress.submissions@gmail.com.
