Between Queer Teeth brings together poetry, short stories and creative non-fiction from the mouths of the queer and trans community.
 
Being queer and being trans today is not easy. The work in this book speaks to that; it speaks to hurt and to violence, to barriers and to systemic transphobia, to protest and to anger.
 
But queerness is also full of joy, and this book speaks to that too. The work contained in these pages is soft and sexy, realist and fantastical, quiet and loud. These pages tell queer stories in so many different ways, from so many different perspectives, as varied and expansive as the queer and trans community is.
 
We offer you the words stuck between our teeth, the stories (true and imagined) that have been living rent free on our tongues, the poems that are just visible when we part our lips, open our mouths wide.
