An anthology of queer and trans writing about water
We are endlessly fascinated by water. It holds a particular place for queer and trans people: the possibility it offers our bodies for transformation within it, the softness of it, the sexiness of it, the genderlessness of it, the gendered structures around it. So we invited 10 queer and trans writers and artists to respond to water creatively. Their responses span mediums and form, bodies of water and the body in water, and we bring them together in this anthology of work.
Our contributors swim pools, lakes and oceans, visit islands, coasts and hottubs. The water they describe is soft and hard, it erodes old rocks and old gender, it is a place to fall in wet love, it hides witches.
We recommend reading this by a canal, or with your feet in the sea, or in the bath. Let the pages buckle.
