We are so excited to be bringing ‘Trans Tongues’ into the world, an anthology of trans writing and art, supported by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
 
Our transness is being contested, by the media, by TERFs, by the government. They are coming for our right to exist, to change, to become. To live well, to live gloriously. This book is not for them.
 
​This book is full of trans life, chest tape and NHS leaflets, toilets and injections, parents and lovers, friends and community. It is also full of trans imagination, ghostly houses and slipper limpets and worms. The work takes the form of manifestos and love poems, paintings and photography. It is at times painful and tender, at others, hot and hungry: a feast.
 
​Trans makers open their mouths, tell trans stories through their teeth, fill these pages with words and images that fall off their tongues.
